David Njoku hosts his second annual Celebrity Softball Game
David Njoku hosted his second Celebrity Softball Game on June 19 at Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake. The event brought together players from across the sports world, including local and out-of-state football players, internet influencers, music artists, comedians, and WWE superstars.
Besides the softball game, the event included family activities and a home run derby, which came before the six-inning softball game.
The celebrity participants included influencers Ross and Granny Smith, content creator Halle Payne; WWE superstars Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae; Bodybuilder Bakhar Nabieva; DJ EV and DJ Steph Floss; Rapper Doe Boy and Ray Jr.; celebrity guests Lady Walker and GNetX; Hall-of-Fame Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin; professional wrestling commentator Vic Joseph; former Browns and current Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson Sr.; and former Browns kick returner Josh Cribbs and cornerback Joe Haden.
Current Browns players include Safety Grant Delpit, Quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Wide Receivers Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman Jr., Cornerbacks Martin Emerson Jr. and Denzel Ward, and Defensive Tackle Michael Hall Jr.
Celebrity guest GNetX won the Home Run Derby and was named MVP of the Celebrity Softball Game, hitting the walk-off home run for Team Njoku in a 14-13 victory over Team Haden.
The events were delayed due to ongoing rain.
